4th Wednesday Networking
Join us for fellowship at The OP College Hill!
The Other Place was started in 1970 on College Hill in Cedar Falls, Iowa and was primarily a college bar that served and delivered pizza and is recognized as a memorable part of the college experience by generations of UNI students across the country.  The Other Place has grown over the years to 11 locations throughout Iowa and Kansas offering great homemade pizza, oven baked subs, sandwiches, pastas, salads and more all in a sports themed setting to be enjoyed by family and friends.    We've been baking our original pizza for over 45 years using only the finest meats and 100% real cheese.  Every pizza is made to order using homemade sauce and dough and loaded with fresh ingredients.  We hope you enjoy our time-honored cooking traditions and recipes.  The entire Other Place family thanks you for your continued patronage.
Are you a veteran?  Is a member of your family a veteran?   Is a member of your family serving on active duty at this time?

What you missed last week:
Last week Tom Eachus joined us from Blackhawk Grundy Mental Health to share with us all his office does to provide mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples , and families in our community,  and to decrease the stigma of mental illness.  He also shared how stress affects the body emotionally, physically , cognitively and physically . Stress has magnified greatly for all in the pandemic and there has been a very unfortunate increase in suicidal ideation. The pandemic is creating anxiety, depression, grief , loss , and social isolation and Tom expects it to have long lasting effects and continue to increase the demand for  mental health services. The Blackhawk Grundy Mental Health office is focusing now on education and support, offering virtual mental health appointments, and expanding outreach. Tom reminded all to remember to check in with friends, family and coworkers in this time of uncertainty and make sure they are getting their needs met physically and psychologically.  We thank Tom for speaking with us and for all he and his office do to provide access to quality mental health services in our community.

Rotary Opens Opportunities
Rotary is not just a club you join. It is an invitation to endless opportunities. It opens opportunities to serve in a project as big and historic as End Polio Now and also in a small community project, where you just plant a tree. It opens opportunities for you to live a richer, more meaningful life, with friends around the world, based on our core values. Everything we do opens another opportunity for someone, somewhere.
The 2020-2021 theme is: Rotary Opens Opportunities.
