DECEMBER SERVICE
GOODIES FOR A SENIOR CAROLING BUS
DECEMBER 9TH, 2023

JOIN US for a fun afternoon service project visiting homebound seniors to deliver baked goods and caroling! Choose to sign up for yourself or include a guest. Feel free to bring a beverage and snacks for the bus. Also, throw on your best Christmas sweater or just dress for the holiday!

Due to the presence of alcohol on the bus, having children aboard is discouraged; however, feel free to drive your car and follow the bus.

We are requesting a $10 donation to help cover the cost of the Party Bus, if possible. Also, we will collect funds to give the driver a tip at the end of the day for patiently and safely driving us around.

If you are unable to attend, donations will be accepted to go towards purchasing ingredients to make baked goods for the seniors. THE BUS WILL LEAVE PROMPTLY AT 12:00PM - please, be 10-15 minutes early to get aboard and settled to leave by noon so we may keep on schedule for the seniors.

If you are signing up to bring baked goods, please plan to either:

                  * Bring them to the bus between 11:45 am-11:55 am on December 9th

                  * Or, if they will keep for a few days or can be frozen, then bring them to Rotary on Wednesday, December 6th

Bring 1-2 dozen baked items for the seniors. Please, individually bag them, 1-2 items per Ziploc/baggie. If they have peanuts of any kind in the item then mark on the package it contains peanuts.

Remember: The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!

Date: 12/09/2023 (Sat.)
Time: 11:45pm - 4:00pm CST
Location: Parking lot across from Viking Pump on 4th st, Downtown Cedar Falls

A New Way to Donate
Let's continue to achieve Every Rotarian Every Year status. Foundation chair, Eashaan Vajpeyi developed a new way to donate to help make this easier for members.  There is now a link on our website and you will receive a text reminder from time to time with the link.  You can also click the link below to donate directly from the newsletter! Thank you Eashaan for making this possible!

Imagine Rotary

RI President-elect Jennifer Jones imagines a Rotary where members act to make their dreams become reality and they make the most of their club experiences. She urges members to engage more with each other and use these connections to build partnerships that change the world.
